I stayed here recently (19th Jan - 27th 2019) and was pleasantly surprised at the rooms and the amazing location.the purpose-built two-storey hotel is very basic but rooms are clean and relatively spacious considering the price. this travelodge site is staffed 24/7 and all members of staff i met were polite and very helpful; the rooms at this location are either double or family and there are disabled equipped rooms.all the rooms offered a double bed and ensuite bathroom and were clean and well maintained. there is no refrigerator or safe in the rooms and only 1 power point (unless you disconnect the TV and radiator to get a further two!) but i cannot express how relaxing and refreshing i found my getaway. this Travelodge is literally directly opposite the Dartmoor national parks and within a 5 minute drive of nearby okehampton where there is a choice of supermarkets and local outlets. however, the TV had all normal freeview TV and radio channels in case you prefer a day of lounging in the room. the room itself (in my case a double room) easily accommodated two people and was large enough to ensure you didn't feel cramped - even in the event of an extended stay.although there is no onsite restaurant, there is a "greggs/burgerking/subway" attached and a 24hr garage offering a good range of food/drink right next door. I will be going back as the location was absolutely stunning - even in January, and the Travelodge site was remote enough for my needs but not at all isolated. I really didn't want to leave......
Clean. Polite friendly staff. Even though by a busy A road there good sound proofing. 4 electric sockets. 1 digital TV with Freeview. 30 minutes of free WIFi. There is strong 4g and weak 4g on the O2 network. Electric heater you can control the temperature nice and warm. There is a bath with shower. The water is easy to control and very warm. In my room there was a double bed and single bed. I even had bit of a view of sourton tor from the window. There is a burger king, Subway, Greg's and Waitrose right next to it. It is a motel but I arrived by foot and was not to hard to get to. I used as a base while doing some winter hiking and camping in Dartmoor. My stay was 25 per night.
This was a very clean hotel! Staff were very friendly and helpful. If we come down this end of the country again, we could stay here again

Surprisingly comfortable awesome bed. Super spacious and clean. Excellent nights sleep. Great value. Exceeded any expectation when viewing the property from the outside.
