Last weekend we gathered together as a large family group at Bracken Tor .We had a fantastic weekend, so much enjoyed by young and old. We relaxed together and shared a lot of laughter and fun. We had an excellent meal wonderfully catered for us by the staff on Saturday and this proved a highlight of the weekend. The food was of a very high standard and delicious. Thank you very much for the care taken to produce such a brilliant meal!
Great Christmas dinner cooked by staff. A couple of middle with orders but all sorted by staff who were really helpful.
Very nice place. We stayed here as a group of 40 people for 2 nights. Quiet and rural. Friendly staff and it was clean.
Absolutely stunning setting with lovely views and walks close by. As a youth hostel I was afraid of what I was going to find (having never been to a hostel before) but this completely changed my point of view and I would definitely stay here again, the bedding was fresh, the building is well maintained and the facilities are all excellent, there is a family room for watching TV and eating but obviously this is shared, however this never caused us any bother as all the people staying were friendly and accommodating. I would use this place as a holiday retreat no problem.
Fantastic place for our school kids who have enjoyed freedom and safety in fresh air with plenty of indoor activities after long days on the moor. Perfect place for mixed groups using it as a school trip venue close to Dartmoor and all amenities. Food plentiful wholesome and delucious. Best brownies this side of the A30! Thank you.
