This memorial is dedicated to the battle of balaklava and to Lieutenant Captain William Morris. He was part of the 17th Lancers regiment. After the battle he was made Lieutenant colonel. He owned the Fishleigh estate 19th century which has been split in to small groups since. One man did all this and his my ancestor.
