Quick service and delicious cod and chips
Lovely fish and chips but forgot how pricey they are!
I am a fan of fish and chips and tried a few of the shops now in Exeter. Service is good there but unfortunatelly not the food. By the time I got home the batter was getting grayish and in a few hours I had upset tummy, my other half never has upset tummy but she also commented that the sensation is not great. Maybe we were unlucky and got a bad/old fish? But then it shouldn't be sold.
This shop has improved a lot in recent times; hence it has gone from 2 to 5 stars!Based on a few new visits, everything is always piping hot, very well and freshly cooked with lovely crisp batter too. Excellent food at a reasonable price which is cheaper than almost everyone else I know in the area and without cutting portions size.A couple of friends had told me how good it was now it was under new management and they were not wrong. I wish they had told me before so in could enjoy it earlier.Before the food was ok but many times could leave a cold lard feeling on roof of your mouth; not anymore. I don't eat Fish and chips that often but The Fish Supper House is now my first place of choice.
